I’d Love to See This
January 3rd, 2008
Wow, saw this link to a Princess Tutu by BUBBA while browsing the AoD Forums. Can’t believe I missed this from November, but I can’t wait to see her finished:

Hope it gets a PVC. It would be my most prized figure…I’ll probably never get my wish though. I seriously hope those who are going to the figure fests get a good shot of the finished version of this. In case you haven’t guessed Princess Tutu is far and away one of my favorite things I’ve seen.
Figure: Wendy Garret
August 11th, 2006
- Character: Wendy Garret
- Series: GunxSword
- Sculpted by Bubba in 1/8 scale
- Figure manufactured by Max Factory
- Slide Show (16 pictures)
Wendy Garret is one of the main characters in the GunxSword anime. As far as I can tell from watching the first volume of the anime, she’s a naive, but headstrong girl that has gotten herself way over her head. This Bubba sculpted, Max Factory produced, Wendy looks good both in terms of quality and overall cute factor. Read the rest of this entry »
Shima and Arisa
June 17th, 2006
I got these this week. They were released by Max Factory months and months ago, but kept putting them off until they went out of stock most places, so some recreational Ebay searching caused me to finally get this set. There were a few different Arisa and Shima figures released around the same time, but most of them just had sculpts that didn’t really fit the characters, particularly several of the Shima figures. This sculpt by Bubba, on the other hand, gets the characters personalities down. The paint job on the figures is pretty average, as the white paint strays from where it should be quite often. The orange on Shima’s plugsuit does have a nice shine to it, so it’s not all ho-hum as far as the paint goes. The figures are cute and I’m glad I finally got them. Anyway, the rest of the set is on my Flickr gallery.
Etna Figure and He Is My Master Figures
June 7th, 2006
Just a post to say I’ve added two new sets to my Flickr Gallery: Etna from Max Factory; and, the three He Is My Master Figures from Clayz.
I really dig the Etna figure a lot:
The figures from He Is My Master are also nice, though they’re smaller than advertised. The face detail is a little on the plain side, but the clothing detail is very very good. There are three figures in this set:
