Can’t decide which version to get of “Chris”, the latest figure up for pre-order based on a Range Murata illustration. It’s listed as a 1:7 scale figure, which is nice. Finally, a decent sized Murata figure. Normally, I have a clear preference for one scheme over the other, but this one is a tough one to decide.
I love the eye color and hair color combination on the more obviously Christmas themed one. I’m a sucker for the light brown hair blue eyes combo. Plus the outfit is cute. Here’s the product shot (To avoid any confusion, these pictures were not taken by me.):

After laying on the thing for half an hour, she discovered that her couch was vying for the title of most uncomfortable couch in the world. It was hot, a real conversation piece, but definitely not made for curling up in. She expected that though. What’s sexy usually isn’t all that comfortable.

I think Range Murata’s girl from UltraJump 14 (UJ14) is a cyborg or a robot, at least I hope so, because that headgear apparatus looks too heavy for a human to wear. One of the things above the style, above the coloring, above all the aesthetics of Range Murata’s illustrations that I admire is the ability to make me wonder about the character. Why is she sitting like that? Why does she look sad? This 1:8 scale completed pvc figure produced by Beagle manages to capture everything I love about Murata’s illustrations.
