Akihide Maraki’s sculpt of Melissa Seraphy perfectly blends a cute mode giant pumpkin dress with a sassy and sexy demonette. This is a fantastic figure. It is in 1/8 scale and manufactured by the GoodSmile Company. She was recently given a USA release, so snap her up now and get yourself a sweet bfigure that doubles as a Halloween decoration. I definitely believe this is a top tier figure in terms of design, sculpt, and visual appeal, an excellent addition to anyone’s collection, especially when compared with other similarly priced figures.
The Good
Right away, the outfit sets it apart from many figures on the market. The pumpkin dress brings in the element of a cute underworld, which is a nice change of pace from more realistic garments. Details on the outfit are interesting, such as the skull emblem on her top, and of course the shaded but transperent cutouts on the pumpkin itself. Each of the elements has their own texture done just right, from the ultra shine of the gloves, to the semi-gloss on the pumpkin, to the smooth skin.
What takes the figure to the level of being way fantastic is the pose and attitude of the character in this figure. She feels very much alive. Check out the body language and the facial expression.
The Bad
As with all mass produced PVC figures, there are a couple of nits to report. Around her knees on both legs are some very obvious mold lines. Fortunately, these mold lines, when the figure is properly displayed, are hidden from sight. It only comes up when you view the figure in pervert mode.
And The Panties
As always, the panties are an item of great import and interest. The rest of the figure exudes a fanciful air, and the undergarment of this underworld princess was not spared from the sculptor’s attention to mood and detail, much to the chagrin of the bean counter, I’m sure. No simple dash of white paint here to quickly and cheaply satisfy the curiousity. Nay! It would have been thoroughly inappropriate for our demonette to wear such boring panties, so the pink ruffled undergarment she wears is a clear declaration, a figurative statement against boring panties, an Absalom! Absalom! or Arise Serpentor Arise to cost cutting measures.
Umm, yeah…lol. That was probably more creepy than funny, oh well.

English. It’s the major to take when you have no idea what to take.
I was a photographer at the student newspaper for my university. There you’re forced to quickly use what’s available to create an interesting picture. By far taking pictures for the student paper was the most fun I’ve had in my whole life. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Well, I take pictures for my Formation magazine. And it’s no fun.

That’s too bad. Maybe I really enjoyed it because they gave me a lot of sports assignments to photograph, so I’d get to be on the sidelines close to the action having the best seat in the house really. I got to do a lot of things I never would have had the chance to otherwise.
