Reinforce Zwei as an LMD

Another LMD, a loli of mass destruction, named Reinforce Zwei arrived at 05:00. You really do have to wonder sometimes what those guys at the research facility do. Obviously it isn’t going outside, so they get real weird sometimes with the weapons they make. It was cool when they were pumping out sexy ladies of mass destruction years back, and I admit the high school girls of mass destruction were hot too, but I got to say the LMD thing has me wondering about those guys in the lab. Why an LMD? Is it because lolis are more fuel efficient? Fuel is getting ridiculous these days.

Review of Reinforce Zwei from Alter

Alter’s version of Reinforce Zwei is a non-scale figure. I guess it’s okay. This was a figure I never got around to canceling. It looks pretty good and the hair is sweet, but I’m not enthusiastic about the character design. One thing that does look pretty sweet is how they got the book to look like it floats from certain angles.

Foo-bar-baz reviewed Reinforce Zwei last week, check it out just because they’re awesome or if you feel my shots here don’t do Reinforce Zwei justice, go there.

Fuel certainly is getting ridiculous! I can’t wait for mine to arrive as I’m really curious to see how they made the book attached to her hair. It looks really fragile form photos that I have seen. Not to mention Reinforce is pretty cute.

One of the rare figure that can be said to be at 1:1 scale ^^
I guess Reinforce has her fanclub, so does Fate, Vita and Nanoha… but I am more on Fate’s side, and will stick to the 2 main magical girls ^^
Otherwise ALTER will kill me with all those figures haha

When I ordered her I had no idea she was from the Nanoha universe, not having seen any of it. I was like ohh pretty hair and I haven’t pre-ordered anything in a month…so sure I’ll pre-order.

As far as how brittle, not really sure. It comes already attached.

A really nice figure and probably one of the few non scale figures. The way they made the book “float” was amazing, it takes some serious imagination to put it in a way that looks like its really floating

you need to watch nanoha, I’m not sure whether the show will get licensed in US.. (probably not because of naked transformation scene..)

Mmm, LMDs for life! :D Nice pics there. StrikerS is a pretty pathetic show, but Rein is irresistible.

Dancing Queen, Twin Moons Anime is taking preorders for what I believe, based on dates I’ve seen on other sites, is a October/November re-release of this figure, and they’re not the only e-store doing so, so you may still have a chance if you don’t get it at a con. Maybe someone who follows fig news more closely can provide more info on Rein’s possible(?) re-release?

LMD lol, good one. Very nice figure, wanted to get it at first but decided to skip coz if i do get her I’ll need to get the rest too. Gonna keep it to the two main girls for now ^^. I do wonder how the book is attached to the hair, will it like make the hair bend overtime.

I skimmed over this figure without a second thought when I saw it up for sale, but your pictures make me want to reconsider. The face is a lot cuter than I originally thought.

-The float even looks that way in real life (from certain angles), it’s not just a 2D thing.

-Nanoha was licensed by Geneon, but they didn’t release any of it before going under.

-DQ, between con season and restocks, I think you should be able to get Rein without too much hassle. Might want to check your usual places again, since they sometimes have extra stock after filling the pre-orders.

    Another one-stocking-one-sock figure :3

I’m a huge fan of the Nanoha series but I didn’t get any of the Striker’s set except Testarossa-Harlaown, simply… well because I was just too lazy to add another to the pre-order list.

Very clean photoshoot, but I have to ask how the book is suspended? Is it threaded/poled to the body or to the base?

Len-Vesper: A part of her hair has a small protrusion that fits snuggly into a hole in the book. As long as you don’t see it, then it does look like it’s floating. I myself thought it’d be held up by a small stand, but the innovative way the sculptor did this definitely deserves some mention. foo-bar-baz took some pictures of that if I remember correctly - just use the link in the post.
Unfortunately, customs is holding back my figures so I can’t get my Exelica or Rein yet.

You have her! I pre-ordered this figurine 3 months ago and am still waiting. Great to see your photo’s, now I’m really looking forward to get this pvc. I’ve also looked down how the book floats, but I swear the book just floats around. At first I thought photoshop! … but it’s really made like that for some angle’s. That’s sweet!

So the book is held up by a small notch? Lol I was supposed to ask how they made it look like it’s floating.

    Awesome pics!

    nice figure, I like how the book looks like floating in the air. if I read your review first, I may consider getting her… but this [mod edit: link is VERY NSFW, "condensed milk" involved] h ttp://tyodai.blog47.fc2.com/blog-entry-188.html#more completely ruins it;

I made the warning a little more descriptive now so that people have a better idea if they want to click or not.

The first few pictures were interesting and then it went somewhere very strange.

haha.. I know a few people were thinking the book will have a separate stand or something.. instead of being attached to the hair. The strand of hair looks too thin to hold it up and keep it’s shape for a long time though :P
