About
HappySoda is an anime and anime stuff fan blog. Anime DVDs, figurines, and other related things, such as conventions, that’s what I do. Figure pictorial reviews are the most popular articles at HappySoda. Anime reviews are region 1 dvd release centric since I don’t do fansubs.
HappySoda is currently a single author blog written by “super rats”, who is a research analyst by day and usually at night too.
Ten Favorite Anime (I know there’s 11)
- Cowboy Bebop
- Princess Tutu
- Planetes
- Kamichu!
- Boogiepop Phantom
- SuperGALS
- Gunslinger Girl
- Fruits Basket
- Figure 17
- Magic User’s Club
- FLCL
Where to Buy these Lovely Angels
There are many places selling these figures, some good, and some real shady. Unless you know how to spot a bad quality fake, I’d avoid using eBay as there are generally just as many fakes for sale as the good stuff. Below are the stores that I personally buy all my figures from and I have been very happy shopping with them:
- Hobby Search (Japan)
- Hobby Link Japan (Japan)
- Twin Moons Paradise (US)

Other Random Things about super rats
- I usually do these figure pictorials late at night, so I’m usually listening to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory while processing .JPG files. It’s interesting, though I wonder how George Noory can sit there without laughing sometimes.
- A pretty big talk radio junkie.
- Favorite authors include Raymond Carver, J.D. Salinger, Jerzy Kosinski, Harlan Ellison, William Faulkner and Charles Bukowski.
- Music I’ve liked forever, U2, Saint Etienne, Bjork, Pavement, Jeff Buckley, Sonic Youth, and The Counting Crows.
- Bacon Cheeseburger > Sushi.
- Am a big fan of the USA.

Hi, I have a request. I am pretty new to Wordpress and I am trying to setup my schoolclass blog. It is almost finished, the only thing I want to do is to customize the photoalbum-albums-highlight.html etc etc in the Flickr tool.
I want to have a layout like yours, but I can never do that because of my lack of skills.
Can you please mail me your customised photoalbum-albums-*.html files so that I can get a step further and to learn something new?

Melonpan san, thank you for your visiting my site and for telling me that I had forgotten to put a contact button (I put one there now). Thanks for the information about the Haruhi figure. It looks like they’ve done a good job based on your pictures. I’ll have to see about getting it.

I found your site very resourceful & inspirational, makes me keep coming back to check your latest entries of Figure Reviews~ah…all these pretty pictures.
Nice tutorial you have on photographing too!
Please feel free to drop by my newly built, work-in-progress Figure Gallery, it’s still focusing mainly on pictorials thus far.
Couldn’t really find your contact email…but still, keep up the quality work of yours!

Thanks a lot! I like the setup you have for the Ichigo Marshmallow and the Burst Angel Amy gallery.
Every time I change themes, the contact page disappears (since they all do it differently I guess) and I forget to make a new one, so I just have included a link here on this page.
