Anyone out there planning to go to AnimeNEXT, there’s going to be a panel about anime blogging. Omo, Moy, SDS, and I will be on the panel. It’s Sunday at 2pm in Panel Room 1, yeah, I know – the butt-end, but still it should be good, or that’s the plan. If you’re thinking about blogging, hear us out on why it’s a good idea. Or if you just wanna come along for the laughs, that’s good too.

Otakon has given us the thumbs down two years in a row. I think all of us are going to Otakon, so there’s going to be some karaoke lounge hanging.
Ah, good to know you will be in Otakon. Is there any plan for some sort of “HappySoda” or collector gathering?
Also, have you considered a panel exclusive to figures and/or figure photography? I don’t think Otakon would thumb down something like that. I remember shitajiki and LD panels in previous years (though that was way back in 2000).
It never crossed my mind to do any sort of panel. Omo pretty much is the one driving this panel. I suppose a figure panel might be good, though coming up with an actual panel might take a bit of thinking about.
There’s always the impromptu “blogging panel” we almost had last year while we were all waiting to get into Bandai’s panel (and failed horribly at).

I made a last minute decision (8 hours ago) to go on Friday (today) only. Public transportation just doesn’t make it worth it. Besides, I have other plans for the weekend. I would like to see an overview post about the panel though.
Public transportation outside of a few cities is pretty inconvenient, so I hear you there. Hopefully, one of us writes up what happened.

Hmm…might be a WP 2.8 conflicting with one of the plug-ins I’m using. Some of them haven’t had updates yet. I’ll try finding out what’s wrong and deactivate the ones I’m not actually using. I know some of them are still activated but no longer used, like Community Cloud.

Sounds pretty cool, unfortunately I’ll be lucky to make it to any convention at all, I don’t get out much. Hopefully I’ll make it to the one in Denver this fall though. Would be cool if there’s a blogger panel there.
