At the end of Shangri-la, episode 9, Kuniko discovered something harsh, something cruel. The burden of leadership isn’t the water on your back. The true burden of leadership is the price paid by those who put their faith in you. Tough lesson, Kuniko. How will you react? You’ve been pretty cavalier and found it easy to take the burden off someone else’s back. Now you see it isn’t that simple to save someone.
Some of the characters have become more interesting besides Kuniko. Karin, who when I first saw her annoyed me as another loli for the sake of loli, through the loss of control also has me curious as to where she’s going as I’m still not sure what column to place her in. So what’s MEDUSA going to do now? I’m still not sure if Ryouko is anything more than a stereotypical sadist antagonist; but man, Atlas is one sick place — re: Hiruko.
I find myself quite interested in following Shangri-la as it continues to pile on questions. I’m glad the elements that have prevented others from continuing the show haven’t stopped me, even if I recognize that they are there.

Yeah, I can’t believe more people gave up on the show… it’s not perfect, but the story and characters are so intriguing! Always leaves me wanting to know more.
The thing is kuniko puts everybody else before her and try to make it on her own and try not to make anybody worried only that she always ends up in trouble
she got great leadership inside her dna but she’s still young and agile
seeing her comrades slaughtered will make her stronger and also will make her think twice before acting in the future
and with people around her willing to sacrifice for her, she will change history
I have yet to see 9, but yeah, despite all the screaming of a Gonzo ending, looks like I will be continuing this series. It keeps throwing up the questions. I just hope, for once, even if only a very slim chance exists knowing Gonzo, that they will not end it on a lame rushed note.
Just finished the episode, I got a little behind. Still watching Shangri-La and it’s just as interesting as ever. The end of 9 hit pretty hard, and the characters are developing nicely. I have faith in this series and I’m going to see it through to the end.
My first visit.

finally, someone else following this.
best use of orange juice i’ve ever seen.
i bet kuniko’s got some plan up her sleeve, even though she’s claiming “no plan no idea” on how to lead the group
I like saving up a couple of episodes at a time to watch, so I’m interested to see just what she’s going to do. I thought the jailbreak thing was fun, OJ and all.
