It was late and Sakura was tired. They were all tired, except everyone else had fallen asleep hours ago. Second in the world was a victory for the program, so they celebrated several years of hard work and training at a big restaurant and then brought the party back to the athletes’ village. But as of the morning, it was all over for her. She was already packed, including souvenirs for people back home and her medal. Sakura cried. There isn’t anything closer to gold than silver, but they’re completely different. Silver hurts.

Review of Sakura Nanako by MegaHouse
Sakura is a cute 1/8 scale figure from MegaHouse and comes in two versions. This is a review of the regular version. She comes with three accessories, a hoop, a ball, and whatever those juggling things that look like bowling pins are called to create the whole rhythmic gymnastics thing for Sakura — that ribbon wand thing would have been nice addition too. Initial impression is it’s a very cute figure, but she’s from an ero game, so there’s cast-off, and some detailed anatomy definition going on. Her top layer can be removed to make it look more like a practice leotard, but it’s a bit too Jekyll and Hyde a transition for me to appreciate the ero configuration of this otherwise cute looking figure.

The overall flow of the sculpt is very good, particularly her hair and the flow of her torso, and there’s an appealing level of definition of her tone, so in that respect I’m happy with the sculpt. Maybe the area where the thigh and hips meet could be a little more sophisticated and a little less of a gap in the cast-off top coverlet. Minor nits aside, if you like pink, this should be on your list.
Anyway, the base she comes with is fairly attractive. It’s white with some sakura petals painted on, and thankfully, completely optional to display Sakura properly.

You seems to like her , that’s good
Great pics as always , she really looks like she’s waiting for someone after gym class ^^
I’m getting the alternate version next week , not sure it was a good idea buying her , not much of a difference :/ … oh well
And thanks for the link
I like pink
When I saw the promo pics I wasn’t sure if I wanted her or not and currently still don’t know. But I definitely like the flow of the hair.
I hate that all the best figures are from games I’ll never play!!! I had a total loligasm looking at this. Definitely one of the sexier figures I’ve laid eyes on.
This is one of those few figs that everything hits the spot, the flow of the hair, the clothes, the colors, the expression. Simply amazing for words that can’t describe her fully
very nice photo. I like the color temp in here, very soothing
the accessories are nice, I can see that you’ll use some of it on your other figurine photos
That is a really pretty figure and again you have phenomenal pictures. I don’t know why but your pictures make me want to buy a DSLR.
The sculpt is good indeed. The pose has a rather alluring feel to it and the face is excellent. Paint work seems to be great too. It all combines into a nice figure that I don’t see too often from MegaHouse.
Just a quickie to let you know, Foobarbaz linked you on his page
I’m always grateful whenever Foobarbaz links me.
So warm ! Yours pictures are beautiful, and decoration is a great thing!
lovely figure. nice flowing hair and adorable facial expression.

JAWS DROP!!!!!!
Now I regret not buying her…
Amazing shoot as always Super Rats!!!!!!
nice photo , i really like the base u used
Awesome photos.
It does seem quite a few figures that are based on characters from ero-games come with a cast-off capability.
I bought Alter’s Tsuzuri (Lycoris Radiata) and she was cast off but looks supremely better with her clothes on.
Thanks all!
The Rytmic gymnastic theme is something different and quite nice for a change.
What did you use for the gymn hall floor effect?
It’s a placemat.^^
Long time no comment from meh, supre rats, hope you’ve been well!
What!? No fanservicy shot of the hand near her behind? Denying us such a sight!
The hair is so very pretty on this one, and it’s so very pink. @_@ The blue eyes are a nice touch to go with, always liked that combination. Here’s a trivia question for you, rats: Name me a male character with pink hair and blue eyes. If you’re in for the bonus round, name me two!
I’m hoping the answer isn’t Sakura Nanako.^^;
Wahahaha, no, no. Sakura is a girl, note the lack of telltale bulge on the leotard.
There aren’t many male pink-blue combos out there, Nichol from Plastic Little is one, for example. Yay Urushihara.
You never know with advanced tucking techniques.
The only male character I could think of with pink hair was some guy in Utena, but I don’t think he had blue eyes.
As far as place mats, there’s a place around me that has a few interesting ones where I only had to buy one mat instead of a set, so I got a few. Used one in the Unity Yuno set too.
A placemat?
I would have never figures that out!
Thats why you are the master of props!
pink suits very well on lolis.. Lol
Wow amazing pictures super rats, love the lighting you put her in,really cast that gym feel to her, aswell as the the wooden floor
shes really a cutie, love her hair, the pink just goes BOOM! haha great job
OH man! Drool………………. I love the pictures! The background makes it look like she is in a gym. The perfect setting for this figure.
[...] As I mentioned before there are exceptions to everything because most pictures of figures in home made studios have simple lights and the shadows are very small but Super Rats really knows how to create shadows in his home made studio so I decided to give it a try turned one of his latest works into B&W and the result was pretty good in my point of view mostly because the background is full black. You can see more of Sakura at his page. [...]
shes like a POK-POK here.,.,
