I facepalm twenty seven times a day and almost always Haruhi Suzumiya triggers the reaction. That doesn’t even count the times I do it on the inside whenever I cross the threshold and walk into the SOS Brigade club room each day. She’s fairly ridiculous, but she gets away with it. Everyone lets her, because the truth is, overlooking the lack of concern or compassion for what anyone else might want, the lack of tact, manners, or all sorts of things people do to make conversations run smooth, and never mind she does everything at someone else’s expense, the truth is, Haruhi is amazing. I can’t believe I just said that.

Seriously, I really love this figure. There’s so much life and energy to it, particularly her facial expression. I have zero complaints.
Other Stuff
I know some people are going to tell me the FREEing bunny version of Haruhi is great and I should look into getting it at some point. The bunny girl suit isn’t my thing though. I like this much better than the Max Factory school uniform version, since she looks more charming in this figure, definitely more of a face she’d share when it’s just her and Kyon.

What a stunning figure, Alter does such amazing work. The pose concerns me a little though, looks like she might start to lean eventually. Your photos are beautiful as always, I’m always inspired to do my own photo shoots after looking at your pictures!

The main reason why I didn’t get this figure is because I already have Max Factory’s Haruhi. Didn’t like having same character in similar outfit. I’m not too keen on the pose as well. But I can see Alter did another fine job, as always.

Guess we agree on the same points of this figure, she’s full of life indeed and Alter did one heck of a job on her. The only reason why I’m not getting her is because I already have four figures ordered. I keep wondering, do you use any kind of layers to do some of your shots on photoshop?
I have gotten into the habit of doing almost all of the contrast adjustments on a separate layer and then flatten the image. Sometimes there’s a little bit of tweaking after flattening like for the first and last image, obviously there’s some color and saturation adjustment to mimic sunset and sunrise. Normally, I think a lot of people would do that on a different layer, but I just did it on the flattened image.

I agree how this is the face she won’t normally share with everyone else. Does feel kinda different to the usual face from other Haruhi figures.

I didn’t know about it either until I saw Foobarbaz’s review. The normal version suits me, though. There’s enough open-D mouth posed figures that it’s nice to have ones with a closed mouth smile too.

The end of post ads have been up since August. Amazing what changing the size can do to combat ad blindness. The front page ads are new though.

I prefer the bunny ver. but I would go for her since it’s cheaper. I couldn’t find her at a good price in HK even though she was everywhere. T_T
It’s a tough choice if i will be getting her in the future as max released their Gekisou Ver. Also, I’m having 2nd thoughts about canceling the Koto swimsuit version.
The decisions are just endless.
