Assuming both are from the same run, then there's a good chance the same thing will happen. I do find it strange that a figure made in 2010 would lean. Most figures made these days use firm ABS plastic for the support leg instead of softer PVC. Leaning is usually not a problem for premium figures anymore, so it does strike me as odd that this figure leans.

I don't know if you're still active here but theres this figure I have wanted for a really long time and last night I decided to just finally buy it and not hold it off and I was just about to purchase it today but I am just greatly concerned and paranoid about leaning now after reading this forum. This is the figure in question: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10100975

As you can see its standing on only one leg, and I read a review somewhere from someone who has it that it leaned horribly after only 2 months. I was wondering if even though 2 figures are the fundamently the same figure if there any chance of possible variation in the way it was made like possibly a mistake made that, that persons would lean and that I would get lucky and mine would not? I know if I really like it I should'nt let it hold me back from getting it but I was really looking forward to putting it on display :( .

Fortunately, this happens far less often nowadays. Manufacturers have learned how to add better support. Now they use harder ABS plastic for the legs or use internal supports so that they don't warp. I don't worry much about warping anymore. While I obviously can't say for sure whether that particular figure won't warp, I'd say that I wouldn't let that stop you from ordering it if it really strikes your fancy.

Well crud, good thing I read this article before making my purchase. This is my first time buying a PVC figure, but the one I was looking at really has me in question due to the apparent inbalance she has. It was Alice Margatroid, this particular one was made by quesQ. Also, how does Griffon Enterprises usually fare in PVC models that are standing on one foot poses?

Here is the figure

I am SO glad none of my lean.... even the ones on one leg(Kotobukiya Konomi, Yoshioka and Casual Saber. GSC Corti, and my big Kasumi.) 3 of my 1 legged figures have screws to hold them on the base. Kasumi is almost 1 legged, she has a screw too. Only Corti has a different thing, a metal pole in the base and in the boot. Which seems to be fine atm.

After reading all this, I think I'm buying Kotobukiya's version of Haruka Takamori over Alter's. I'm sure the base will give her a better support.
As for bootlegs... damn, my Non-non had some stains in her dress. Nothing serious, but it wasn't that mint look all my figures have. I'll examine her closely (along with the box).
I'll have to do something also with my Alter's Saika Falnese. Bent the day after I bought her.
Thanks for all the useful tips!!
